On Friday, the Charter Institute at Erskine (Institute) hosted the first-ever Institute’s Got Talent statewide talent competition at the historic Town Theatre in Columbia.
This exciting new project encouraged Institute students and staff from across the state to demonstrate their talents via online auditions, which were critiqued by a panel of judges. Of those submissions, a select few advanced to the semifinal rounds, which were held at Thronwell Charter School in the Upstate, and the Institute’s office in Columbia.
After these performances, the judges narrowed down competition to just 18 students and staff members, who took the stage for the final night on March 6. The highly anticipated finale was hosted by Ms. M.E. Farmer, the 2024-2025 Nathan Yon Institute Teacher of the Year and a teacher at American Leadership Academy Lexington.
With over two hundred guests traveling from across South Carolina to attend, the night was a celebration of creativity, imagination, and the many talents that exist within our charter school environment.
So, without further ado, we’re thrilled to present the 2025 Institute’s Got Talent Winners!
